How to Capture Receipt Details

Choose your receipt fields, extract the details, and add them to your expense records.

1

Add the receipt file

Upload a saved receipt photo or PDF. Use the version that shows the merchant, purchase date, and amount paid clearly.

2

Set your receipt fields

Choose Table extraction. Enable Field preferences and create a template with fields such as merchant, transaction date, total, tax, and payment method.

3

Capture and review the details

Click Process files and inspect the result. Check that the purchase date is correct and that the final total has not been confused with the subtotal.

4

Transfer the reviewed data

Download a table or copy the values into your expense worksheet. Add your project, category, or business purpose in that worksheet.

A Folder of Photos Still Needs Expense Entries

Turn the receipts you have collected into the details your expense record needs.

Different receipts, the same fields
You need a merchant, date, and total even when each shop prints them in a different place.
Subtotal or amount paid?
Tax, tips, and discounts can change the final amount. Record each value with the right label.
Business details to add
Project names and purchase reasons usually come from you, so leave room for them in your worksheet.

Capture the Details You Record Each Time

Get recognized merchant, purchase-date and amount fields for your expense worksheet. Review each receipt before exporting, then add project, department or purpose details in your own sheet.

Request details such as merchant, purchase date, currency, tax, and amount paid.

Keep your preferences in the same browser so you can select them for your next receipt.

Choose Table extraction for spreadsheet work, or Content extraction when you want the full receipt text.

Move extracted tables into Excel or CSV, then add expense categories and notes in your worksheet.

Keep Recurring Receipt Entry Manageable

Build your expense records from purchase details rather than starting each entry from scratch.

Record expenses as you collect them
Extract a saved receipt while you still remember the project and reason for the purchase.
Use the same field checklist
Look for the same details each time, even across different receipt layouts.
Add your own expense categories
Use the extracted purchase facts to fill your sheet, then assign categories that fit your records.
Share details with your team
Pass on a spreadsheet of checked values alongside the original receipt.
